Sit In at the Cook County Clerk’s Office of Vital Records

At the Office of Vital Records, seven Chicagoans are arrested for criminal trespass because they intended to stay in the office of vital records until that office fulfilled its duty not to enforce laws that undermine equal rights under the law. Specifically, they requested that a marriage license be issued to a same-sex couple. February 14, 2009.
